Biography
Joshua 吳周爍 is a songwriter, music producer, arranger, DJ and vocalist from Singapore. He taught himself the guitar and piano from the age of 11. At the age of 18, he started producing and arranging on his own too.
He attained his Diploma in Music Production & Audio Engineering at Orita Sinclair in 2016, coming under the tutelage of established producers like Ken Chong.
Joshua has since signed to Funkie Monkies Publishing as an exclusive songwriter, producer and arranger in 2016 upon completing Funkie Monkies’ Hit Melody Composing course supported by NAC (National Arts Council).
Internationally, he has sold songs to 丁噹, 信Shin, 朱興東, BBF, 范世錡, 江美琪, 白一洋, 炎亞綸. In 2018, Joshua wrote and arranged 2 out of 3 songs for Aaron Yan 炎亞綸 in his latest EP “亲爱的怪物”. Recently, he was also the backing vocalist for 3 out of 8 songs in 信Shin’s latest album ”煉金術”, including a song he wrote for 信Shin, 《痞子的情書》.《痞子的情書》was also the theme song for the popular TV Drama Series“如懿传 (Taiwan Broadcast) Ruyi’s Royal Love In The Palace”.
He has also participated in songwriting camps organised by Funkie Monkies in Singapore, and Warner Chappell Music in Penang. These camps led to producing works such as 追雨 (Chasing Rain) for SONY MUSIC Taiwan Artiste 江美琪 (Maggie Chiang) in 2017 and 白一洋’s debut single 懶懶 in 2019.
Joshua 吳周爍 is an up and coming songwriter and definitely one to watch out for as he looks to conquer the world with his music, hit by hit.
